German company XMG joined the ranks for next-generation gaming laptops. The Neo 16 features the most recent processors from Intel, NVIDIA, and an advanced water cooling system to maximize performance.
The XMG Neo 16 has a 16-inch IPS display with a resolution 2560×1440 pixels and a refresh rate 240 Hz. It also supports NVIDIA G–Sync. The laptop runs at a maximum of 5.4 GHz with a 24-core (32 thread) Intel Core i9-13900HX processor. The base configuration had 16 GB DDR5 RAM. It can be extended up to 64GB.
You have a variety of options when it comes to the discrete built-in graphics card.
- NVIDIA GeForce RX4060: 8GB GDDR6, +115W TGP (plus 25W with DynamicBoost 2.0)
- NVIDIA GeForce RX4070: 8GB GDDR6, +115W TGP (plus 25W with DynamicBoost 2.0)
- NVIDIA GeForce RX4080: 12GB GDDR6,150W TGP (+25W for Dynamic Boost 2.0).
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX4090 16GB GDDR6, 150W TF (+25W with Dynamic Boost 2.)
The laptop has two large fans inside. A second fan is located on the back. Additionally, an Oasis external water cooling system can be connected to the laptop through special ports. You will also find all main interfaces there, including a power plug, HDMI 2.1 and a 2.5-gigabit Ethernet ports, as well as a USB Type C (Thunderbolt 4, USB 4 and DisplayPort support). There are three additional USB Type-A ports on the sides, as well as an SD card slot. Separate ports are available for headphones and microphones.
Among the XMG Neo 16’s features is a sturdy aluminum case and a 99 Wh rechargeable battery. A mechanical keyboard is included with the laptop with MXCHERRY ultra-low profile switches and RGB backlighting.
In the base configuration on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, the laptop costs €2199. For the RTX 4070, you will have to pay €375 to this amount, for the RTX 4080 – €1050, and for the top assembly with the RTX 4090 – €1687. All cases use the same Intel Core i9-13900HX CPU. The MX CHERRY mechanical keyboard with switches costs an additional €125.
