The battle royale game seems to be finally taking shape. There are several dominant players on the market and few newcomers can change that. Some disappear as fast as they appear while others remain confined to the chambers of a small group of connoisseurs. Vampire: Bloodhunt seems like an application to big leagues. It can take part in the genre audience, but it also feels very niche. It’s interesting to think about this after the fiftieth and before Bloody Hunt drags brutal vampire fights into the Prague Symphony to the silent accompaniment a irresistibly closing curtain.

The Old Town views are simply breathtaking

⇡#Big Trouble in Little Prague

The red gas was used by the “Department,” a human organization that aims to exterminate vampires. The capital of the Czech Republic has been engulfed by a deadly substance. It is now destroying the lives of all non-living people (mortals don’t fear gas). A fundamental conflict broke out within the fanged community. This led to a fierce confrontation that included the use of guns, hand-tohand weapons, and powerful vampire abilities.

Active and passive skills can vary between clans, as well from class within a single stratum. Let’s suppose that all Brujahs are able to soar high into the air. Bruhi Vandals are able to jump forward and cause damage, knocking down opponents, and take less damage when fighting close to the enemy. Their brothers and sisters from the class of thugs can also restore health beyond combat, and launch a powerful wave strike that can refract bullets. Nosferatu on the other hand are vulnerable to attacks from shadows and can temporarily disappear. Bullfighters can project a projection onto the ground and then move to it if needed. Peacekeepers (sofar the only representative of the Ventrue Clan) can also acquire “marble meat”, which grants them short-term invulnerability.

Red gas does not kill instantly and can be used tactically, for example, to go behind enemy lines. But it's better not to stay here for a long time.

Red gas is not a poison and it can be used tactically to get behind enemy lines. It’s better to not stay there for too long.

All classes have shared passive skills. This could include increasing the start ammunition for the “bandolier”, replacing the low-power pistol with an effective “warrior”) melee weapon, and the “juggernaut”, in which anyone falling from a height can cause serious injury to all those who are within the affected area. There are also passive skills like “choleric” and “sanguine”, which offer valuable bloody resonances.

However, you can get them without having to spend the money required for passive skills. You don’t have to share a meal with other mortals. Drinking from a sanguine will give us the ability to gradually recover our health. After treating ourselves to a phlegmatic/melancholic, we’ll be able to accelerate the recovery of active skill; and by biting into a choleric’s neck, you can expect an increase in melee weapons damage. The default number of slots for such upgrades is three. However, they can be increased by killing a vampire or biting off an Office fighter. They are found in abundance throughout the Old City at roadblocks.

A weapon can finish off any fallen enemy. Casting diablerie can bring you additional benefits, but it is risky. You must stand still for several seconds.

You can also profit from valuable weapons at these points. Trunks with a rare (purple, orange, or even yellow) rarity are stored in special containers like assault or sniper guns, submachine gun, revolvers, and revolvers. A minigun can sometimes be hidden in these containers, but it is slow, cumbersome and ineffective, despite its beauty.

Other than the AI guards at “Departments”, which can be dangerous and sometimes downright stupid, there are other players who wait in the profit areas, waiting for an opportunity to attack from ambush. But, we enjoyThis tactic is not hampered by anyone. Bloodhunt does not reward the most skilled or precise, but only the most patient or cunning. It is important to know when it’s best to go into battle and when you should retreat quickly and carefully. This will have a significant impact on the outcome of the game. You will be able to hold high positions in the match if you are able to navigate the terrain and have a good knowledge of each street.

Having killed a mortal with a stray bullet or starting to suck out an onlooker in front of everyone, the player will immediately become the target of the “Blood Hunt” and will be visible to all other vampires for about a minute

⇡#Battle for the royal chamber

Bloodhunt can often provide special conditions for the party. This keeps them from being devoid of dynamics. The “generous loot,” equipment with a higher rarity will appear everywhere during battles, which will increase the level of courage. Red gas will also spread much faster in “windy conditions”, which will have an impact on the speed of battles and the frequency with which opponents are impacted.

The map is actually very small. This can be viewed initially as a positive because it increases the intensity of gaming sessions. The games don’t drag out. After a while, Prague’s interiors and exteriors become boring. You want something different. From the visible routine, different modes are partly saved, slightly changing the rules of the game – “duet” and “troika”. Here, victory can only be achieved through the collective efforts of the entire team. For example, vampires don’t have a spare day like in solo mode.

Reflection of rolled ammunition can save you in an almost hopeless situation.

Whatever mode you use, each party will be exhilarated, and any local skirmish can turn out to be a mad dance of death. Verticality is a dynamic that creates space for dramatic attacking pirouettes as well as momentary tactical maneuvers. Although this isn’t enough to push mastodons out of the genre, Vampire – The Masquerade is – Bloodhunt can be seen as fresh blood in royal battles.

Advantages:

  • It’s a dynamic, fierce game with lots of interesting discoveries.
  • Vampire: The Masquerade is a perfectly-embodied environment
  • There are many game classes to suit every taste.

Disadvantages:

  • sometimes the AI of non-player characters gives out strange incidents, which somewhat spoils the gloomy atmosphere;
  • It is clear that the game requires additional maps and possibly more modes.

Graphic arts

Bloodhunt is a convincing and well-written story. The streets of Prague, along with the interiors of local establishments, are beautifully executed. Elemente of the Vampire universe: The Masquerade are cleverly integrated into everyday landscapes to immerse you completely in the world of vicious vampire fights.

Sound

The game’s musical design is somewhat greyish, and not even one song will be able to be recalled.

The sound design was a huge success and has an impact on gameplay. Sometimes, listening to footsteps or shots from the distance can be more helpful than searching for an orange rarity barrel.

Combat sounds are performed at an extremely high level. This includes shots from different weapons, the collision of melee weapons and vampire flesh, as well as the effects associated with various abilities.

Single player game

It is not provided. You can only do a very short training in a beautiful isolated setting.

Game collective

This is a great royal battle set in an unusual setting. There are interesting class features and fast-paced battles that provide adrenaline.

This can all be done online in three exciting modes: “solo”, “duo”, or “triples”. Sessions are quick and the network code works well.

Travel time estimated

The games move lightning fast. Even the longest and most intense battles will last a mere ten minutes. It is difficult to get away from the game. And despite the fact that Prague gets a bit boring in three or four dozen hours, Bloodlines still beckons irresistibly, forcing you to play “one more last party”. You can’t have vampire magnetism otherwise.

General impression

Vampire: Bloodhunt presents a new, brutal and dynamic view of the genre. While it might not be a pillar of this genre, it will fill its own niche.

Rating: 8.0/10
