To change the time, users will be presented with tabs “For You” (or “Following”) to choose from. However, the first tab you’ll see when you access the application is “For You.”
Twitter has started rolling out major changes to iOS. The button that toggles between chronological and algorithmic timelines has been replaced by a new button.
In a sense, the social network stole TikTok’s idea. The timeline now displays tweets from accounts that you follow, along with other algorithmically chosen tweets from people you may be interested in.
Users now have two tabs: “For You” or “Following” for changing the timing. The first tab that opens upon opening the application is “For You”.
It abandoned the idea after receiving complaints from users.
Twitter also implemented a similar strategy earlier this year, allowing users switch between the “Home”, and “Latest Twitters” timelines.
According to reports, the company will re-implement under a new name. Posts are displayed in chronological order on both the Android app (web) and the Android App (app).
With the new iOS, “For You”, even when the app is closed and opened again, appears first.
