Toyota unveiled a new version of its Prius hybrid this week. This was well received by the general population. Toyota has now announced an update to its Prius Prime plug-in hybrid. This will include a new look and technical upgrades. The novelty will feature a larger, more powerful lithium-ion batteries and a solar roof.
The range of the new lithium-ion battery, which will be more than half that of the old one, will increase by at least 50% to 60 kilometers. The solar roof will be a more exciting feature. Built-in solar cells charge the battery when Prius Prime Prime is parked. When driving, the solar roofing will provide additional power to the air conditioner, which will reduce the strain on the main battery.
