Vivo has officially announced that sales of the global version Y55s 5G smartphone have begun. It is interesting to note that this smartphone has the same name as the first Y55s and the Y55s 5G models.
However, there is not much difference between the global Y55s5G 2023 and the Y55s5G 2021. The primary difference lies in how much the battery can hold. The novelty battery is 5000 mAh, while the old model has a 6000-mAh battery.
The Y55s 5G 2023 features a 6.58-inch Full HD+ (2408 × 1080 pixels) LCD display with an 8-megapixel f/1.8 aperture camera on top. The smartphone runs on the eight-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor, which has a clock speed up to 2.2 GHz. It also features an ARM Mali–G57 MC2 accelerator and a 5G modem. There is a choice of 4 or 6GB of RAM and a 128 GB flash drive. The new model is not compatible with the Y55s 5G-2021 8GB RAM option.
The smartphone has dual SIM 5G, dual-band Wi Fi 802.11ac support, Bluetooth 5.1 adapter and USB Type C port with OTG support. It also features FM radio, NFC chip, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and dual SIM 5G. The main camera features a 50 megapixel f/1.8 aperture sensor, and two additional 2-megapixels f/2.4 aperture cameras for macro photography or scene depth measurement.
The smartphone supports 18W charging. Its case dimensions are 164 × 75.84 × 8.25 mm, weight is 187 g. The price of the Y55s 5G model with 4/128 GB is $263, the Y55s 5G version with 6/128 GB of memory costs $280.
