Portal Video Games Chronicle (VGC), a glimpse of a possible remake of The Last of Us, an action-adventure cult for PS5, was found in the online resume of an employee of Naughty dog.
Corey Hong has been responsible for quality control since 2019 and is now the Naughty dog games’ tester. The studio tester checked The Last of Us Part II, Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection, and two other projects.
The first refers to multiplayer entertainment (or possibly the same), while the second is a remake. Hong probably meant the updated version of The Last of Us. Bloomberg revealed Sony’s plans in April 2021.
Unconfirmed data suggests that The Last of Us began as an independent project of Visual Arts Service Group. Naughty dog took control of it, and VASG was retrained as support studio.
Tom Henderson, an insider, claims that the remake of The Last of Us for PS5 has already begun “almost ready” and could be released during the second half 2022. VGC has confirmed, citing sources, that the game is close to completion.
