Garena, publisher and developer, has announced the launch of Tales of Free Fire’s first episode. The animated mini-series is based upon their mobile battle royale Free Fire.
The short film “How a Flame Is Born” was released on YouTube on April 23, as promised. The tape tells the story about Hayato Yagami, who is one of Free Fire’s most popular heroes.
Gamers will see specifically how Hayato overcome obstacles and how these events made him one of the most iconic characters in the franchise’s universe.
“After a global cataclysm that destroyed the old way of life on the planet, the Horizons Corporation has become the flagship of the future and the most influential technological structure in the world. The Yagami family owns a large company in the exact same industry and joined Horizons’ board as a representative for one of the businesses that were taken over. Hayato is forced by the Council of Horizons and his family to search for the root causes of the tragedy. The description of How a Flame is Born can be found here.
Free Fire’s premiere of “How a Flame Is Born” is accompanied by “Tales of Free Fire The First Showdown”, an in-game event. These are the first two elements of a single story universe, which even has its own website.
Free Fire added themed rewards to celebrate the premiere of the miniseries. These include the Lab map for Ultimatum, and the Animal Run web-event. The Zombie Invasion mode, which will be available on April 29, will also be added to the game.
