Mytona Publishing House and Yakut Studio Fntastic developers reported His MMO open world survival shooter The Day Before was postponed. The delay was caused by unforeseen issues.
The Day Before, which was shown in January 2021, was due to debut on PC (Steam), first on June 21, 2022 and then again on March 1, 2023. Versions for PS5, Xbox Series X, and S are also being developed.
It was discovered that the developers would not be able to complete the release on the scheduled date. Instead, The Day Before will be released only on November 10, 2023. Delay also occurred with the promised January demo for “clean gameplay”.
Due to unforeseeable issues, The Day Before’s Steam Page was removed on January 24/25 (see copy at the Internet Archive). This was done at The Day Before, the US trademark owner.
A certain Sun Jae Lee from South Korea applied for the trademark The Day Before in the United States in May 2021 (Fntastic ran until January 2022). The studio received a complaint last Thursday, January 19, and is currently trying to resolve it.
Many players were upset by the news, as they had hoped for The Day Before’s imminent release. The number of Steam wishlist additions was still in second place until recently.
The Day Before takes place in an America ravaged by a pandemic and infected with the bloodthirsty. The game will require players to find resources, defeat monsters, and take part in the restoration of society.
