Sony has released a new music player called Walkman NWA306. The device features high-quality components that support many audio codecs. Android is the chosen operating system.
Sony Walkman NW-306 weighs in at 113 grams and is small in size. High quality film capacitors are used to provide a linear voltage that reduces distortion and noise. A surface resistor distributes power evenly to all circuit components. Sony uses the S-Master HX, a digital amplifier technology that was specifically designed for the Walkman. It is compatible with Native DSD formats. Declared support for LDAC audio codec. This codec guarantees nearly lossless audio playback.
The Android player comes with a 3.6 inch touch screen. It runs Android with all Google services including the Google Play store. To connect to the Internet, Wi-Fi is available. You can also use streaming music services.
Sony claims that the player can run for up to 36 hours with FLAC 44.1 Hz music playingback mode, 32 hours with FLAC 96.Hz music playback mode, and 26 hours when streaming.
The Sony Walkman NW-A306 will go on sale before the end of January for €400 or £350.
