The ruling states in part: “The Government of the Russian Federation has decided to eliminate the subcommittee of the development of artificial Intelligence of the government commission digital development, the use of technology to improve the quality of living and the conditions for doing Business”.

In 2019, the government commission on the digital development was reorganized and the Subcommittee on the Development of Artificial Intelligence was created. It was led by Dmitry Medvedev, then Prime Minister. German Gref, the former president of Sberbank and Maxim Oreshkin, were elected co-chairs of this new structure.
