Websites like Minusrus and Oryx have kept the public updated since the start of the war about Russia’s armament status and any losses suffered by this country. These statistics show that the Russian “special operations” used the majority of the equipment to conquer Ukraine. In theory, Russia is out of tanks, as well as all armored fighting vehicles.

According to Oryx as of writing, Russia had lost 3,625 vehicles (and weapons systems of every type) Minusrus is a website that volunteers run. It uses statistics to spark imagination because it compares current losses with equipment Russia reportedly has in preparation for invasion. These estimates are based on data from the equipment that Russia had at the border just before the outbreak (February 24).
These data show that Russia has “run out of” all types of armored vehicles,… tanks, and other equipment it has purchased to prepare for the invasion. There are 2,900 and 1,205 copies, which represent approximately 21.1 and 36.5% of the equipment available in the Russian Armed Forces, respectively. This data was compiled from statistics provided by Military Balance.

Oryx’s information is however less optimistic. Russia lost 665 tanks. Ukraine took over 238. Although it is difficult to accurately describe what the reality looks like, it is possible to see that it lies somewhere in the middle. However, Russia is experiencing huge losses and will not be last. This is because Russia has been providing support to Ukraine with weapons systems almost inconceivable.
