In the midst of waiting for the release the new Meizu flagship smartphone, insiders uploaded images to Weibo’s social network Weibo showing patents from Meizu relating to future smartphones. Judging by the sketches, the manufacturer will follow the “apple” trend by equipping the gadget with a body with flat edges.
The display side shows images that show a thicker frame at the bottom and an opening for the front camera in its upper portion. The back panel contains four sensors from the main camera. They are presumably illuminated by a proprietary ring flash which circles the two upper lenses.
The antenna can be inserted into the body frame and it will prove to be made of metal. The power and volume buttons are located on the right hand side. On the bottom, there is a USB Type C connector, a SIM slot, and a speaker grille. The microphone hole is located on the upper edge, along with an infrared sensor.
According to an insider, the images show Meizu 20. The only hint at the future novelty is that the images show a case or a smartphone with a bent display. It is possible that we are talking about the Pro version of the gadget, while the base model will remain “flat”. Details of the gadget and its announcement date are not yet known.
