NVIDIA has stopped producing the GeForce RTX2060 Super and GeForce RTX2060 12GB video card based on the older generation Turing architecture. According to Chinese media sources, this is what they reported.
In the beginning of 2019, NVIDIA introduced the GeForce RTX2060 graphics cards with 6 GB memory. NVIDIA released two additional accelerators during this period: the GeForce RTX 2060 Super graphics card with 6 GB of memory and the GeForce RTX 2060 model, which has 12 GB. In December 2021, the last company was introduced. This decision is made amid large remaining Turing generation GPU stocks and in response to a peak of chip shortages that has left graphic card manufacturers struggling to release new GeForce RTX 30-series models.
The GeForce RTX 2060 became the second most-popular video card on Steam during its existence. The GeForce Supermodel RTX 2060 did not attract the same interest. However, gamers around the globe still loved it for its low cost.
According to Chinese media reports, NVIDIA has stopped shipping GPUs of the GeForce RTX 2060 Super and GeForce RTX 2060 Super. NVIDIA asked its partners to stop producing these video cards before the end of the month.
The GeForce RTX2060 was the most affordable NVIDIA graphic card that supported hardware-accelerated ray tracing at the time it was released. This title is currently held by the GeForce RTX3050. According to rumors, NVIDIA is currently developing the GeForce RTX4050 model in a new generation Ada Lovelace accelerators.
GeForce RTX2060 video card cards are still on sale. Their reserves could be quickly depleted, as shown by recent statements.
