Elden Ring continues to sell well and has already overtaken Call of Duty: Vanguard as the top-selling game of the last twelve months. NPD Group’s report on the US videogame market revealed this. It also noted that the sales of Nintendo Switch in the US had surpassed those of the PlayStation 4, and this trend has continued into April.
In terms of number of units sold, the Nintendo Switch was a clear winner over its rivals. The Xbox Series X/S ranked 2nd in terms of system sales, both in April and this year. It also ranked 1st in year-todate revenue. In April, however, the PlayStation 5 ranked first in terms of revenue.
The Nintendo Switch is now more popular than the PlayStation 4, which has raised it to the fourth place in US console sales and sixth in global sales. It is just behind the PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, and Wii.
Elden Ring was ranked second in the April top-selling games charts. It remains the most-sold game over the past twelve months and is still the best-selling one this year. In terms of revenue, Elden Ring has surpassed Call of Duty: Vanguard. On March 31, sales of role-playing action by FromSoftware reached 13.4 million copies.
LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga, which was released in April, became the most-sold game in America across all platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and Xbox. It has also ranked second in the list of best-selling games in 2022, and sixth in the past 12 months.
Nintendo Switch Sports, which is not Star Wars, was the only new release that made the top 10. It was ranked fifth for physical copies sold.
