There were three options for subscriptions: Personal, Family and Free. The company will now offer a Basic plan starting January 30 at $1.99
The new subscription provides more storage space, as well as the same apps that free users have access too, such as the web versions Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.
Microsoft’s competitor Apple offers 50GB for $0.99 or 200GB for $2.99. Google One is $1.99 for 100GB.
Basic plan users don’t have access to the 1TB storage of the Personal plan. Most users only want to store documents and would not need 1TB storage.
