Asleep, a Korean startup has partnered LG to create next-generation smart appliances. Devices will be able, using original technology, to determine if their owner is asleep, and then, in accordance with this, regulate their work independently.
This technology uses AI algorithms to allow you track the four stages in sleep. The technology captures the sounds of breathing with microphones. LG intends to incorporate this technology in products such as TVs and refrigerators, air conditioners, purifiers, and washing machines.
Smart home appliances will be able to automatically adjust settings or turn off based on user sleeping patterns. The LG Whisen air conditioner adjusts the temperature based on sleep stage, while the LG Aero Furniture purifier can go into quiet mode.
Asleep will unveil the Sleeptrack API package in the upcoming CES 2023. Additionally, Asleep plans to collaborate with other companies.
