Intel has unveiled the Core i9-13900KS, its flagship processor. It boasts a 6-GHz clock speed right out of the package. An Intel employee demonstrated the processor’s capabilities earlier, and now the company has revealed its specifications and retail price.
Core i9-13900KS architecture has 24 cores (8 performance, 16 energy efficient and 38 execution threads). The CPU’s base clock speed is 3.2GHz. Maximum clock speed is 6GHz. The stock power consumption limit is 150 Watts. In Turbo mode, it can reach 253 Watts. Compared to the base Core i9-13900K, the maximum frequency of the novelty has increased by 200 MHz, and the “gluttony” by 25 watts.
The processor supports dual channel DDR5-5600 or DDR4-3200 RAM with up to 128GB. It works with motherboards built on Intel Z790, Z690 chipsets. The chip also pulls four PCIe 2.0 lanes and 16PCIe 5.0 lanes. The novelty’s graphics capabilities can be attributed to the integrated Intel UHD770 video processor.
The suggested retail price of the Intel Core i9-13900KS at $699 is
