Cyberpunk 2077 quests lead designer Paweł Sasko commented on the fate of the beloved character in the light of the upcoming Phantom Liberty story addition.
This is Deputy Jefferson Perales. He is running to be Night City’s mayor. The NPC takes part in the Guardians of Disorder, Bunraku quests. At the end of the latter, he disappears suddenly and sever all ties to the main character.
Some players felt that the Perales storyline was not over. Users have speculated that Perales may have fallen prey to tight development and will continue his story with the DLC.
Sasko responded to questions on a recent stream and said that the politics storyline was complete. It was also exactly how it was originally conceived by the team.
Sasko claims that the Perales arc was created by Cyberpunk 2077 senior quest design Patrick Mills. He was the one who suggested ending the story. “Legal uncertainty and troubling questions leave players”.
“I’m glad we did it”Sasko concluded. CD Projekt RED was able to capture gamers’ attention judging by their interest. Perales-related questions haunt them today.
