Cyberpunk 2077 quests lead designer Paweł Sasko commented on the fate of the beloved character in the light of the upcoming Phantom Liberty story addition.
This is Deputy Jefferson Perales. He is running to be Night City’s mayor. The NPC takes part in the Guardians of Disorder, Bunraku quests. At the end of the latter, he disappears suddenly and sever all ties to the main character.
Some players found the ending of Perales’ storyline not satisfying. Users speculate that Perales’ storyline has been stalled due to tight development time constraints and will be continued in the next DLC.
Sasko responded to questions on a recent stream and said that the politics storyline was complete. It was also exactly how it was originally conceived by the team.
Sasko claims that the Perales arc was created by Cyberpunk 2077 senior quest design Patrick Mills. He proposed the ending to the story. “Legal uncertainty leaves players with lots of troubling questions.”.
“I’m glad we did it”Sasko concluded. CD Projekt RED was able to capture gamers’ attention judging by their interest. Perales-related questions haunt them today.
The Phantom Liberty addon to Cyberpunk 2077 will release in 2023 for PC (Steam. GOG. Epic Games Store), PS5, Xbox Series X. Over 350 people were involved in the development.
