Cybercriminals are using ChatGPT from OpenAI to create malware and improve their operations.
OpenAI’s communication robot can converse and interact with users. It was launched on November 30, 20,22. Cybercriminals began abusing the AI tool quickly.
Check Point Research cybersecurity experts discovered that hackers are using ChatGPT chatbot to create malicious code and improve three cybercrime operations.

This Python-written malware script was discovered to have been posted to a hacker forum. It searched for data and created a directory. A ZIP file was then created and uploaded to an FTP server.
Cyber security firm explained that a post on a hacker forum called “ChatGPT- Malware Benefits”, showed how ChatGPT was used to create malware.
CheckPoint stated that although the data was not encrypted, it was uploaded in an insecure way. This meant that it could be stolen by others.
Another discussion was found by CheckPoint titled “Abusing ChatGPT to Create Black Market Scripts.” The author explained how easy it was to create a black market using ChatGPT.
