Mark Gurman, tech blogger and journalist, identified the key features of the new Apple system model. He cited industry sources. He said that the company is still working on the Mac Pro, but users shouldn’t expect any significant power increase.
The journalist also denied rumors that the computer would be equipped with the M2 Extreme flagship chip. He stated that the new configuration will include the less-productive M2 Ultra platform, which has a 24-core CPU, and a 76 core GPU. He also stated that radical changes in design are not likely.
Current version of the computer uses SoC M1 Ultra which includes a 20 processor and 60 cores. The new Apple Mac Pro version has yet to be released. According to rumors, the company will present a new product during the WWDC 2023 conference.
