You can get a discount up to 10% from the company
Bloomberg reports that Apple is trying boost Mac sales by offering a promotional deal for small businesses who buy computers in bulk. This will help to combat the holiday quarter slowdown.
According to company representatives and Apple retailers, the company offers up to 10% discount on its Apple M1 SoC MacBook Pros 14-inch or 16-inch models. Companies that purchase 5-24 MacBook Pros in any edition of the Apple M1 SoC MacBook Pros will get an 8% discount. Those who buy 25 units in bulk will be eligible for a 10% discount. The discount is valid until December 24th. This offer is higher than the usual discount for small and medium-sized businesses.
The company said last month that holiday quarter growth would be slower than the previous quarter due to a “substantial decline” in Mac revenue. In the quarter ending Sept. 24, Mac computers accounted for almost 13% of Apple’s total revenue. It was the highest-selling period in the company’s history.
Apple’s marketing materials described the new promotion to be a “special Mac campaign.” Apple recently briefed its sales staff about the promotion. They have started contacting companies that Apple has done business with in order to gauge interest. Representatives from small businesses said that they are rarely contacted by Apple regarding promotions. Apple declined to comment.
Apple may also be looking to increase MacBook Pro sales and clear out inventory before launching new models. Apple is expected to launch updated MacBook Pros that are based on the Apple M2 Pro SoCs and M2 Max SoCs in early 2023.
