Russia will soon be able to implement a selfregulating registry of toxic material on the Internet by the end this year. This initiative is intended to protect minors against objectionable material.
Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, instructed that proposals to create the named register be considered following the December 2021 meeting of the Human Rights Council. Deadline for completion: June 1, 2022.
Igor Ashmanov is a member under the President for the development civil society and human right. He has stated that the work on the creation of the register could be finished before 2022. This concept allows for volunteer experts in various fields to be involved.
“This will likely be a volunteer effort, with each branch being managed by professionals. They will form an expert council, organize the work, and provide technical assistance. We will launch this year, hoping that the project will grow.”, – TASS quotes the statements of Mr. Ashmanov.
