AMD Announces RNDA3 Graphics Cards for Laptops
AMD unveiled the first RNDA 3 laptop graphics cards at CES 2023. The Navi 33, a 204mm2 graphic chip, is also known as the Navi 33. It includes AV1 decoding and encoding. AMD also updated the Radeon 6000 products by adding three 50-80W models based upon the RNDA 2 architecture. All three models have 4GB of 64-bit G6 memory.
RX 7600MXT
The RX7600M XT laptop RNDA3 graphics chip is the fastest. It offers 32 processing units that produce 2048 shader processors and a TDP between 75-100W. The graphics chip features 8GB GDDR6 with 128 bit interface and 32MB Infinity Cache.
RX 7600M and RX7700S, respectively.
The RX7600M, RX7700S, and RX7600S all use the same memory configuration and cache configuration. Only difference is that the 7600M/7600S has 28 processing units with a TDP of 75-90W. AMD claims that the fastest graphics chip is faster than a desktop GeForce RTX3060.
AMD Adcantage Edition Laptops
AMD has also confirmed four laptop designs with Ryzen 7000/Radeon7000. These are AMD Adcantage Edition laptops, which are the first to have RDNA 3. They will be available for purchase in February.
US Support for Chip Makers
In addition, the US announced a support package worth 280 billion dollars to chip-makers. This is an attempt to aid the industry with the worldwide chip shortage.
