Although Lisa Su, AMD CEO, didn’t spend much time talking about mobile graphics innovations during her CES 2023 keynote address, this event was very anticipated. The first laptops featuring gaming mobile graphics from the Radeon RX7000 family with RDNA3 architecture will be available in the current half year.
The Radeon RX 7600M XT is the brightest member of the family. It features 32 computing units, RDNA 3 architecture, a 128 bit bus, and 8 GB GDDR6 memory. The graphics processor is made using 6-nm technology. Laptop manufacturers can modify the system based on this graphics solution by setting the TDP value from 75 to 120W.
AMD claims the Radeon RX7600M XT offers a 22% to 31% performance improvement at 1080p over the GeForce RTX 3060 which comes with 6GB memory. The Radeon RX7600MXT and Ryzen 9 7945HX processors will soon be available on the market.
Radeon RX7600M, Radeon RX7700S, Radeon RX7600S and Radeon RX7600S will be accompanying this graphics accelerator. These latter two will operate at a TDP range of up to 100 W. The Radeon RX 7700S, an older model, outperforms Radeon RX 6700S by 29% in performance in several games at 1080p.
